1. I am so confused by this trailer. But i will watch the film anyways!

2. Looks great! Awful trailer music; almost repellent… Feels like I'm watching an EXTREME Mountain Dew commerical from the 80s.

3. I have to truly wonder if any single person involved with making this movie read the book….

6. Oh, Christ, another boring and/or derivative Baumbach film starring Driver and Gerwig. What could be interesting about it?

   Just in the trailer I already see:

   – He rips off the apocalyptic "invader in the air" mood and panic scenes from Arrival

   – In the spirit of a overly-stylized Ken Burns or Frontline documentary, he has pseudo-intellectual/sophomoric pronouncements that he believes reveal profound insight about the human condition using "we" declarations in which he reduces the human predicative to tidy polar opposites (ie, we're either killers vs. dyers), or human psychology (ie, we keep inventing hope)

   – He rips off from Tarantino and the Coen brothers by setting the film to pseudo-edgy music

   – He rips off a line Jackie Kennedy is on tape explaining she said to JFK when we were facing possible nuclear war, "the children want to be with you" if there is a nuclear war when Gerwig says "I believe we're safe as long as the children are here".

16. This just looks like one of those weird for the sake of weird films that bank on all the weirdness to distract from there basically only being three pages of actual script
