    WHAT HAVE BIDEN AND THE DEMOCRATS DONE?

    1. THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT
    a.) This capped prescription drug prices at $2,000 per year for seniors on Medicare through the Inflation Reduction Act.

    b.) This Act will cut down inflation and the deficit.

    c.) It imposed a 15% minimum corporate tax on some of the largest corporations in the country, ensuring that they pay their fair share, as part of the historic Inflation Reduction Act.

    d.) Gave Medicare the power to negotiate prescription drug prices through the Inflation Reduction Act while also reducing government health spending.

    e.) Took action to combat the climate crisis and reduce emissions. Made a 369 billion investment in climate change, the largest in American history, through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.

    2. HEALTHCARE
    a.) Expanded Healthcare for millions of Americans.

    b.) Improved Healthcare for veterans. Righting wrongs for our veterans and their families. The Senate passed and President Biden signed the historic PACT ACT legislation to help veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxins access the care they need for injuries sustained serving their country.

    3. THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN
    a.) Helped get more than 500 million life-saving COVID-19 vaccinations in the arms of Americans through the American Rescue Plan

    b.) Cut child poverty in half through the American Rescue Plan.

    c.) Reduced healthcare premiums under the Affordable Care Act by $800 a year as part of the American Rescue Plan.

    4. BIGGEST YEAR OF JOB GROWTH IN AMERICAN HISTORY
    a ) Created more jobs in one year (6.6 million) than any other president in U.S. history.

    b.) Achieved historically low unemployment rates after the pandemic caused them to skyrocket.

    5. PASSED COVID RELIEF DEAL
    a.) Passed the COVID-19 relief deal that provided payments of up to $1,400 to many struggling U.S. citizens.

    b.) Supporting renters avoid eviction.

    c.) Increasing unemployment benefits.

    6. PASSED THE BIPARTISAN INFRASTRUCTURE LAW
    a.) In 2022 alone, repairs will begin on 65,000 miles of roads and 1,500 bridges.

    b.) Passed the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package to increase investment in the national network of bridges and roads, airports, public transport and national broadband internet, as well as waterways and energy systems.

    c.) The Bipartisan Infrastructure law is “the biggest public-works bill since former President Eisenhower created the interstate highway system in 1956.” The infrastructure law includes the largest-ever investment in clean drinking water, the largest-ever investment in public transit, the largest investment in passenger rail since the creation of Amtrak, and the largest investment in clean energy transmission and EV infrastructure in U.S. history. Across the country, Senate Democrats have held event after event to spread the word about the direct impact these investments will have on their communities. And the Senate passed the Water Resources Development Act of 2022.

    7. SIGNED THE CHIPS AND SCIENCE ACT
    President Biden signed the Chips and Science Act, critical legislation to boost American competitiveness, ease supply chains, invest in scientific research, incentivize semiconductor manufacturing, and create jobs.

    8. TOOK BIG STEPS TOWARD A FUTURE MADE IN AMERICA
    President Biden's Made in America strategy resulted in the largest yearly increase in U.S. manufacturing jobs in nearly 30 years.

    9. ENDED AMERICA’S LONGEST WAR
    Ended the longest war in American history by pulling the troops out of Afghanistan.

    10. STRENGTHENED NATO ALLIANCE
    Strengthened the NATO alliance in support of Ukraine after the Russian invasion by endorsing the inclusion of world military powers Sweden and Finland.

    11. AL QAEDA TERRORIST ASSASSINATION
    Authorized the assassination of the Al Qaeda terrorist Ayman al-Zawahiri, who became head of the organization after the death of Osama bin Laden.

    12. NOMINATED AND CONFIRMED THE FIRST BLACK WOMAN TO THE SUPREME COURT
    Making Historic Steps to Restore the Judiciary. Senate Democrats confirmed the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Thanks to Senate Democrats, President Biden has had 75 District and Circuit Court judicial nominees confirmed. And, according to FiveThirtyEight, “Biden’s judges are breaking records on diversity.”

    13. COLLEGE DEBT RELIEF
    Provided $10,000 to $20,000 in college debt relief to Americans with loans who make under $125,000 a year.

    14. THE SAFER COMMUNITIES ACT
    Addressing gun violence, Biden stopped a 30-year streak of federal inaction on gun violence by signing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that created enhanced background checks, closed the “boyfriend” loophole and provided funds for youth mental health.

    15. REJOINING THE PARIS AGREEMENT
    Recommitted America to the global fight against climate change by rejoining the Paris Agreement.

    16. RUSSIAN SANCTIONS
    Held Vladimir Putin accountable for his invasion of Ukraine by imposing stiff economic sanctions and Supporting The People of Ukraine Against Putin’s Illegal War And Holding Russia Accountable. Senate Democrats passed and President Biden signed legislation to provide more than $10 billion in support for the people of Ukraine, followed by an additional $40 billion in emergency aid to Ukraine, suspend Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) with Russia, ban the importation of Russian energy exports, and the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act. And the Senate approved NATO membership for Finland and Sweden.

    17. REAUTHORIZED THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT THROUGH 2027

    18. IRS
    Boosted the budget of the Internal Revenue Service by nearly $80 billion to reduce tax evasion and increase revenue.

    19. PASSED A SIGNIFICANT POSTAL REFORM BILL
    Supporting and Modernizing the Postal Service. The Senate passed bipartisan legislation to invest in the Post Office and improve delivery.

    20. PASSED THE EMMETT TILL ANTI-LYNCHING BILL AFTER A CENTURY OF WAITING
    Fighting Back Against Hate, Crime and Oppression. President Biden signed into law legislation to make lynching a federal hate crime.

    21. PROTECTING AMERICANS AGAINST HUNGER
    President Biden signed the FORMULA Act and the Access to Baby Formula Act to expand the availability of baby formula. And President Biden signed the Keep Kids Fed Act to extend funding for healthy meals for children over the summer.

    22. SEXUAL ASSAULT
    Ending Forced Arbitration for Survivors of Sexual Assault. President Biden signed a bipartisan bill that ends forced arbitration in workplace sexual assault and harassment cases, allowing survivors to file lawsuits in court against perpetrators.

    23. UYGHUR FORCED LABOR PREVENTION ACT
    The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, passed unanimously by the Senate, will ban the sale of goods made by Uyghur slave labor and take a stand against the genocide of the Uyghur people. President Biden signed bipartisan legislation to provide support to the victims of crimes. And President Biden signed legislation to commemorate Juneteenth, celebrating the end of slavery in the United States. The Senate passed legislation to streamline research of marijuana. The 2022 Omnibus funding bill also included a reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.

    24. UNDOING TRUMP’S WORST RULES Undoing the Trump Administration’s Worst Rules and Making Progress in the Fight Against Climate Change. President Joe Biden signed three separate laws to repeal Trump-era rules, “blocking payday lenders from avoiding caps on interest rates, restricting climate-warming greenhouse gas emissions from oil and gas drilling and ending rules on how the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission settles claims.”

    25. CONFIRMING DIVERSE NOMINEES Confirming History-Making Nominees. According to the Brookings Institution, the Biden administration made history with “the most diverse set of confirmed appointees.” This includes the first Native American Cabinet Secretary (Sec. Haaland), the first woman to be Secretary of the Treasury (Sec. Yellen), the first Black Secretary of Defense (Sec. Austin), and many more.
