Superb British Classic- lives forever 🙂 What charming and brilliant cast, Ronald Howard and Marion Crawford :))))
What a chilling serial killer. Little ole Grandma.
"I just happen to have the address of my charlady in my trousers… one moment, Mr Holmes."
Ok so I thought about this one all night and had to come back to re-watch it because it really just doesn't line up. So Holmes brought the little girl back to where? The address of a person out of town or her own? If it's not her iwn then where did the girl go off to go to bed to? AND Shouldn't someone go wake her up to tell her she's going to be homeless and without a grandmother 💔 . Is she just going to wake up alone 😔
Holmes calls dr Watson the soul of discretion but Watson wrights about all the cases in extreme detail for the strand magazine
Sorry to disappoint you Mr. Holmes I was in the navy and on said ship but I got the scar in a bar fight in the port of Alexandria, but your story sounds so much better than mine, do you mind if I borrow it?
Don't be fooled. The old woman was wicked.

This list is not exhaustive. however, these are some of the many actors
who have played Sherlock Holmes on stage, screen, radio and TV adaptations.
This is one of my favorite episodes. I love Ronald Howard as Sherlock Holmes. He does an exceptional job. I love that he is more laid back and caring, far more like the canon character created by Sir Conan Doyle. H. Marion Crawford also does a much better job at portraying Watson than, say, Nigel Bruce's portrayal. I only wish they had adapted more of the canon stories, but even still, the original stories made for this show are good. I wish they had made even more than 39. I hate to think that so many people have either forgotten this series exists or have never heard of it. Mandatory viewing for any Holmes fan, IMO!
Hundreds of adverts
Really loved watching it. So wonderful.
I enjoy these far more than Rathbone/Bruce. Howard's Sherlock Holmes is often humble and warm… unlike the "everyone is less intelligent than I" attitude of the Universal studios' version.
"She's a very old woman. At least 60 years old." Hahaha!
is that old lady the same lady who was the wicked witch from the wizard if oz. much older in this but she looks just like her???
This is one of the best episodes from these series. The delivery of a lot of lines is completely priceless.
Weird to think we were watching a bunch of dead people.
The accurate married rarely fence because banjo technically spot astride a rigid rifle. cut, panicky bench
The young girl is still alive! 😊👍
