  1. "Morris" and the other creatures are actual ancient Chinese mythological creatures. Dijiang (morris), Longma (dragon horse) and 9-tailed fox spirit (also appears in Naruto). Marvel really did their fricking homework! I'm impressed.

  2. I get it that the cast is asian and they happy about that, but saying this is gonna be the pioneer of asian representation in movies is a terrible way to disrepect so many brilliant asian actors throughout cinematic history.
Representation is great, but this is overstating it to a fault

  3. And this is why this movie will fail. I'm not talking about box-office trivial matters, I mean the actual people who know the characters. The fact that they turned his mother into a yellow skin instead of keeping her Caucasian is the biggest example of this. They should be focused on making just a good movie instead of worrying about idiotic meaningless things like demographics

  4. I'll wait for the reviews before seeing this one, just doesn't look promising from what I've seen the main actor doesn't have alot of face expressions in the trailer looks bland to me

  5. So what they are saying really is that they made this movie for representation and not for any meaningful roll in the MCU

  6. Tony Leung just couldn't care less about this product. Sad to see such a legend have to be in this.

  7. Within the first two minutes you point out the actor's ethnicity "Chinese" "Asian American", please stop with the virtue signalling and tell the story already. You're sooo boring everyone with your politicizing everything… I thank Michelle for saying "it transcends the culture" – I hope for the day you all think the same an rise above like the rest of us.

  8. This movie looks Like the COOLEST and the most AWESOMENESS movie EVER and i am DEFINITELY HYPED for this movie

  9. Reading all those early reactions people have, and being a huge fan of Jackie Chan and old wuxia films, I think there's a big chance "Shang-Chi" might actually become my Top3 MCU movie. I hope so! We'll see.

  10. This looks awesome. I thought the Black Panther was hugely blown out of proportion in terms of how good it was (highest rated MCU film on Rotten Tomatoes). But this actually does look really good.

  11. OMG finally we're getting movies with Asians and martial arts
    THANK YOU DISNEY!!!
    (sarcasm)

  12. This is just a favor to China for all the money they revenue towards the MCU this character is really meaningless

  13. Just go watch the Foreigner with Jackie Chan, in his 60s still doing his own stunts. Better yet just go watch anything from his heyday

  14. Have these people never seen any of the Kung fu movies from China. Bruce Lee and Jackie chan hello.

  15. First Asian Lead Marvel Superhero. Sure.
Brandon Lee played a Lead Superhero in The Crow.
Bruce Lee, Jacky Chan, Chow Yun Fat, Jet Lee…etc. All of them played lead superheroes IMO.
Also lets not mention all the less known low budget Asian lead super hero movies that exist in Asia. Just look at Hindi movies.

  16. It's going to be a flop. What about all the other Asian male and female actors that came before him there's a ton of Asian movie Kung Fu movies that I love watching so they're acting like they're doing something new they're not.
