1. What an extraordinary title to this video. "Putting teachers in their place". What place should they be in? Do the children and parents put them in their place. Perhaps those same people should put the Police in their place too because they are also always ordering us around and telling us what to do. And speed limits, lets ignore them because they are for people who are bad drivers, double yellow lines too…… Extraordinary!

2. Sarah Lancashire is an excellent actress! I just wish I could get the various shows on here that she is in, in USA other than the odd you tube trailer or episode.

3. Way to go!! Stick it to em when they are in the wrong. Come on parents, grandparents lets stand up for our kids more often against crap treatment!!

You could find said black teacher at a 'Salvation Army' cause dirty undercover cops like stealing ladies underwear, drawing penises on tissue boxes and aromatherapy diffusers, and stealing their children and their stories for BBC content. How much is the BBC making from dead women and children in Hull?

5. Hmmm…British police really hate black Bermudian teachers don't they? Especially those up in Yorkshire. Why can't they just stop playing telly tubby with humans.

7. Ah, yes. Teachers bad (or ineffectual). Cops good (when played by Sarah Lancashire). I wonder how many ordinary British people watch shows like Happy Valley and think that the police would be in their side, despite David Carrick, despite Wayne Couzens, despite the failure to investigate Stephen Port, despite the Met refusing to investigate Partygate. It’s a great show, but it’s Copaganda.

9. This title is weird and wrong. That said, this scene is really good indeed and the two moments with the lighter made me laugh every time. This actress is a powerhouse!

11. Sarah Lancashire is absolutely tremendous in any role in which she is cast but this role is absolutely brilliant and she nails it every time. The woman is an absolute genius!

16. So if someone from BBC could please advise, I am in Chicago, and am a subscriber to Prime Amazon, BritBox and PBS. I am NOT able to stream Happy Valley anywhere 😢 Why??? It's the newest season unavailable in the states? I used to watch it on Netflix I think, or maybe on Prime, but now I cant even watch the first 2 seasons. Please can someone from BBC clarify.. Thank you

17. When I was a kid (over 70 yrs ago) our junior school head mistress picked the wrong mother when she insulted the woman's son. She said he was no good and would turn out bad. (Her powerful position was going to her head). The mother stood up, gave her a hard slap her across the face and said if she insulted her kid again she would send her husband around to deal with her. When the mothers of the neighborhood heard about it they cheered, as they also had been on the receiving end of insults from the same headmistress themselves. Ah! those were the days!

25. I had not seen any happy valley. Hearing all fuss being made thought I'd watch it. Yes some of it slightly far fetched and maybe too many coincidences but it is brilliant and Sarah Lancashire as always is fantastic and thank you BBC for having the guts to not release all the episodes to iplayer all at once bring back event TV
