23. So we can assume the boyfriend kept quiet or lied because he thought she died otherwise she would have been found quickly with the police searching and a missing person report out. Only way nobody identified her after a few days is if nobody knew she was missing until much later, which again would only happen if the boyfriend kept quiet about the accident. For all anybody knew she could have gone off on her own for whatever reason. The boyfriend lying would then be the perfect reason to break up with him and go with the normal working class guy.
