watched it recently, theater empty, we laughed trough the whole thing, it's absurd, ridiculous, campy and all of that. A mix between The prince of Egypt and Showgirls. Apart from that I would say it was pretty good, it's just a matter of sense of humour, or you get it or not, the score was really good, overdone, but it makes it funnier, the acting, specially Virgine was excellent, soo campy, the color, editing, everything was on point to make it absurd and classic movie making at the same time. 9/10. This movie is destined to be a cult classic just like Showgirls. Verhoeven is a master in camp, he makes fun of every character and makes them all look like idiots.
These type of trailer kinda "gets it" because they mimic the experience of watching the movie, it's in the middle of dead serious and the best cynical comedy.
I wouldn't say it was provocative, those certain scenes were pretty funny too.
