  1. I think Alfie Allan actually looked like Jock Lewis . Great series & Theo Barklem really did look like their name sakes

  2. I have a bench on my seafront in memory of Churchill n Dunkirk often sit there n think h nut x

  3. Visual diahorreah. The English are do arrogant they English a actors to play the Scottish founders of the SAS.

  4. Enjoyable once it got rolling, but I didnt see the point in the female spy… fictional character not associated to the real story.

  5. Was looking forward to Masters of the Air, but this excellent series has set a high bar. Kudos to BBC-EPIX for not sanitizing the real life LGBTQ+ characters.

  6. Would never have parachuted in those conditions and shouting and firing weapons to try and round up stragglers behind enemy lines come on 🤣

  7. Biggest surprise was how good jack and Conner are I’m used to seeing them playing parts who are very similar to themselves this is a total departure and wow they killed it Alfie and Sophia great as always and so where the rest of the cast

  11. I was thoroughly disappointed, it was clearly made to entertain the dull masses with only a passing nod to the truth, the casting has been diabolical ( Paddy Mayne has been made to look like squat Capt Pugwash, he was 6ft 3in) and did we really have to have a French female spy and a cross dressing colonel included that added nothing to the story. The director clearly couldn't separate his thought processes from Peaky Blinders. I now know why my mother disliked Tom Cruise as Reacher. reeks of BBC wokism, please name the actual RAF officer portrayed by the black actor.

  12. What a fantastic way to breath life into a rarely mentioned bit of the Desert War/The North African campaign of WWII! Researching and writing about Jock Lewes as a novelist, opened my eyes to a whole new level of ‘what it means to be a hero!’

Lewes’ life story and more poignantly his last few hours make one realize that valor is about your choices to the very last moment. What is true courage? For me, I look to Jock Lewes. I look to my own grandfather who risked everything to save people. Thank you BBC for making this band of ‘Rogue Heroes’ mainstream.

  13. Well, lets hope at the season 2 show that they had a company of Greek commandos not only Free French….

  14. You may have heard of this person but like Paddy if you mess with us not that we wish you any harm on anyone but King rat will get you he happens to come from a very close area of Paddy Mayne.BILLY WRIGHT.🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇦🇽🇬🇧👌

  15. I don’t think the SAS back in 2nd World War worried about hairstyles, so probably a bit more rough and ready look , would add more ethnicity to the actors . But a great series over all , as lots of people will have a connection by family members who fought at Torbruk campaign 1941.
