  1. As much as I would die to see this in theaters when it re-releases, I'm going to wait for it to be re-released alongside the sequel so I can have maximum exposure in theaters.

  2. It's a good film but come on: The Abyss director's cut remastered in 4k is what everybody really wants!

  3. "the way it was meant to be seen…" thanks Youtube and Internet provider.. 360p because why not

  4. I was at 4 th standard when I went to see this movie with my dad, it's was our favorite day, now He is no more, now I would have to go alone and watch the movie😔

  5. This is not a movie — it is an experience. If you aren't seeing it in 3D you are doing it wrong.

In a theater, the only thing that came close was Mad Max: Fury Road. Everything else has been weak in comparison

  6. Ah, the movie so memorable that it's being re-released in theaters to remind us what the hell it was about before the sequel arrives.

  7. I love this movie! Glad to see it coming back to theaters before the sequel releases.

  8. Now just release the damn 4K disc before Avatar 2 hits theaters! The first one won't come to theaters anywhere near me. Although I've heard Cameron butchered the 4K of Avatar and The Abyss. But Abyss never even got a blu-ray, so we need something. 💯

  9. Oh, get lost James Cameron. This is purely an attempt to reclaim the box office spot from Avengers or whoever is number one now. This is a sad money grab for the number one title.

There was nothing wrong with the first Avatar, nothing needed to be ‘updated’ or fixed. This is pathetic.

  10. wait is that the new meta, instead of making now old movies new with like the old disney animated movies, we now just straight up release the exact movie a second time after X amount of time . WoW truely they need the money. For what do I pay then when I go to the cinema. The employee and the scrren and sound. So it will cost only 5 bucks right?, right? suerly they wont make the ticket price 15 bucks for a rerelease. Suerly.

  11. What I hope is that at least the finished deleted scenes are added because they add way more layers that made the movie more unique then most felt. Especially the unfinished cgi deleted scenes.

  12. Saw it once in cinema. Tried to rewatch it but got really bored. Never watched it since. Worse work by James Cameron in my eyes. All his other movies are very rewatchable except this one

  13. I still got to watch Jaws (1975) and Brahmãstra both in 3D before this re-release comes out.

  14. I was 12 when I saw this movie on theaters, now I'm 25 and I can't express with words how happy I'm that I will see avatar again on theaters and a few months later I will see Avatar 2… Finally, It's been a while

  15. When I was 11 my English teacher said said to me, "you know there's nothing new in the world don't you" I said of course there is

But I didn't know he was referring to avatar

  16. Pulled from Disney+ just to force those who want to experience it before the sequel to have yo pay theater prices… bad move

  17. Pathetic…. still no part 2.. soooooo rerelease it and try to make more money…. PASS look at how far jimmy james has fallen…….. and in 1080p…. hahahahahaaa
